Layli graduated from California State University, Northridge with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy. She then worked on her Master’s Degree in English Literature. She later attended Western State University, School of Law, where she received her Juris Doctorate.
In Layli M. Caborn’s 15 years of experience in the legal field, serving as a Victim’s Advocate, Law Clerk, Legal Office Manager, Deputy District Attorney, Litigation Attorney, and Deputy Public Defender, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to public service and serving clients of a diverse socio-economic background.
Layli has represented clients in many levels of involvement in the criminal justice system. She has overseen cases in the trial stage, where she had the responsibility to serve as First Chair in multiple jury trials. The cases she tried ranged from misdemeanors to serious felonies, and juvenile dependency and delinquency cases.
As a Litigation Attorney, Layli, has handled a range of cases, from family law, landlord tenant disputes, consumer protection, and insurance defense.
Layli is highly motivated and possess excellent people skills in working both internally within team dynamics and in the public sphere. In all of her previous positions, she developed innovative ways to build on creative ideas that lead to practical solutions and resolutions in cases.
